If the owner of the goods related to the offense punishable under this Act is not found, the investigating officer shall post a notice in a place where everyone can see that the owner of the seized goods, if any, should come and claim the right, giving a deadline of seven days. If there is a claim on the said goods, the case should be submitted to the authority for decision. If there is no claim on the said goods or if the authority hearing the case decides that the claim will be made, such goods will belong to the Government of Nepal.
